Meltem Müftüler-Baç received a grant from the European Commission under the Erasmus plus program.  She participates in a research consortium PACO, coordinated by KU Leuven. This Jean-Monnet Network on research will investigate ‘Interparliamentary Cooperation in EU external action – Parliamentary Scrutiny and Diplomacy in the EU and beyond’ from 2014-2017.  This is her 6th grant from the Jean Monnet program since 2002.   

Işık Özel received a grant from the European Commission to teach a course on International Political Economy. This grant is financed from the Jean Monnet activities under the Erasmus plus program and covers her teaching activities under the title: “Conceptualizing Europe in International Political Economy”. 

 Anna Lindh/La Caixa Chair on the Euro-Mediterranean: In January 2013, Anna Lindh Foundation and La Caixa Foundation supported the establishment of a Anna Lindh-La Caixa Chair in Euro-Mediterranean area at Sabanci University with the support of IBEI. The chair is co-coordinated by Ahmet Evin and Meltem Muftuler-Bac. The chair activities involves a course on Euro-Mediterranean area comprising guest visitors, a summer school on the Euro-Mediterranean and a workshop. 

 

 Meltem Müftüler-Baç participated and led a Council of Europe Task Force on “Wider Europe.”  This Task Force, produced a report on ‘The Pan-European Dimension: Ensuring the Use of the Council’s Wider European Membership’. The Task force started its work in early 2013 and finalized its Strategic Report in June 2014.
